Rider safety and Responsibility
At 2Wheeled Mt Field, we take safety seriously — yours, ours, and everyone else out on the trails. While we’re here to ride hard and have a good time, every tour is built on a foundation of respect, preparedness, and smart decision-making.
Our crew is trained in first aid and carries essential emergency gear, including a first aid kit, satellite communications, and an emergency beacon. If something goes wrong, we’re equipped to respond — but we’d much rather avoid the drama altogether. Before each day’s ride, you’ll get a run-through of the route, current conditions, and any key safety reminders. We’ll also cover the basics — from group etiquette to what to watch out for out there.
You are expected to:
• Hold a valid motorcycle licence (this will be checked).
• Always wear an approved helmet and full protective gear.
• Ride within your skill level and maintain control of your bike.
• Comply with all road rules, signage, and legal requirements.
• Make smart choices that keep you and others out of trouble.
Off-road riding comes with real risks — that’s part of the challenge. But how you handle your bike, the lines you pick, and the speed you carry are 100% your call and your responsibility. Riding in a group doesn’t shift that.
If your behaviour puts anyone at risk, or if you’re acting recklessly or disrespectfully, we won’t hesitate to remove you from the tour. No second chances, no refunds. Every rider on our tours takes part at their own risk and is legally accountable for their actions — on-road and off.
Optional Insurance & Liability
2Wheeled Mt Field strongly recommends that all participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellations, personal injury, medical expenses, and unforeseen events. By joining the tour, you acknowledge that 2Wheeled Mt Field and its owners, staff, partners, and affiliates are not liable for any loss, injury, or expense incurred before, during, or after the tour, including those arising from circumstances beyond our control.
Alcohol & Substance Use
• For the safety of all participants, the consumption of alcohol or use of any recreational drugs is strictly prohibited during riding hours.
• Riders must not operate a motorcycle under the influence of alcohol, illegal substances, or any medication that may impair their ability to ride safely. Any participant found to be under the influence during a ride will be immediately removed from the tour without refund.
• Once the bikes are parked up for the day, you’re welcome to enjoy a drink and unwind at our on-site bar – but responsible behaviour is expected at all times.
• We reserve the right to refuse participation or remove any rider whose conduct is unsafe, disruptive, or puts others at risk due to substance use
